Here goes...

This is my first attempt at a blog...I've had several people tell me that I should write one so I'm taking their advice and we'll see where it goes.

It's snowing today. Our first glimpse of snow for this season. I love it. Luke and Elyse are at the perfect age for all things new this winter season. Luke has listened to Logan and Cale talk with joy all week about snow being in the forecast for today. So, this morning before Cory left for work Luke told him that later today there would be 'white snow outside' and that it tasted 'nummy'! :-) After we picked up Logan and the two neighbor kids that spend the afternoons with us from school, everyone thought that it was the perfect time for their first excursion in the snow this year. Of course, they insisted that they wear their snow pants even though the snow isn't even sticking to the ground. So, winter coats, hats, mittens, snow boots, and snow pants finally on and 30 minutes later, they were all ready to head outside! Before I could get my coat and shoes on and grab the video camera, Cale, Luke, and Elyse were back in to stay! Such is life in the winter...you spend more time getting them ready to play in the snow than the time they actually spending outside playing.
