Wow! Can't believe it's been a year since I've posted on this blog! So much has happened this past year that it's hard to know where to start. I'll go with current events ~
The biggest change in our lives is that we are now living in a 2 bedroom apartment, yep, that's right, all 6 of us in a cozy 2 bedroom apartment for the summer. We moved in at the end of June and are hoping to be out by the end of September. The background story, well, the short and sweet version is that after at least 2 years of mulling it over, we decided to move to Polk City, a quaint little town of about 3000, 12 miles from Ankeny. The biggest driving force for us is a smaller school district for the kids. Class sizes of about 100 are more our style than class sizes of 800. :-)
After selling our house at the beginning of May ~ one of the best Mother's Day's I've ever had, by the way...sold our house AND Cale was healthy and home from the hospital after a whirlwind 4 days and laproscopic surgery to remove a Meckles Diverticulum ~ we soon realized that we'd be building rather than buying our new home in Polk City. Hence, the 2 bedroom apartment dwelling space for the summer. Our new home is currently under construction, the walls are going up this week. YAHOO!
So, there you have it, the most current events in our lives right now, as of July 26, 2011. I'll take a stroll through my photos from this past year and probably my FaceBook statuses as well and see if there's anything else noteworthy...hmm, maybe that trip to Disney in March.
