Cory's intrepid finally bit the dust. It has been such a great car for us. We've owned it since 2000 and it had over 200,000 miles on it! I was on my way to teach class one night in April and it started acting very strange...I mean MUCH stranger than normal. When I got to class, smoke was pouring out from under the hood and it smelled like something was burning! I quick called Cory to tell him what was going on and went into class. He loaded up the kids and came to check it out. It had a blown head gasket...not an easy or cheap fix.
So, we said bye bye to the intrepid.
We borrowed Cory's dad's pickup for the interim. It fondly became known as 'The Beast"
It took some time, but Cory finally found a car that he was happy with. It also met my requirements: MUST seat all 6 of us and MUST NOT be a minivan! We call it 'The Batmobile". The kids get downright giddy when they get to ride in it!
