Cale's kindergarten class did a unit of The Farm this spring. They hatched some baby chicks and a baby duck in an incubator in their classroom and topped off the whole study with a field trip to a very cool farm in Grinnell. During the unit, they were all asked to dress like a farmer. So, dress him like a farmer, we did!
He's wearing his Iowa State sweatshirt, Carhart overalls, Pioneer hat, and his buddies rain boots. He looked like a serious farmer. I walked him into his classroom that morning and at least two of his classmates stopped and stared. One of them said, "WOW, Cale, you look like a REAL farmer!"
